6) siantar is coming to work here soon so maybe work will get better

9) my lawyers are in court but i still have shit load to do so i should stop blogging

6th Sept, clubbing.

so the plans for the night was to go clubbing at zouk, just me, nez, monsty and grace. apparently we were going clubbing on a saturday (which we don`t normally do, since we have to pay cover. cheapskates we are) cos nez had some tickets from a friend.

so nez set up some dress code we had to follow, and told me to wear both a tie and a vest. but i was wearing a dress and looked ridiculous in both so in the end i settled on a white bow tie. (this was a bad idea cos i ended up looking like a playboy bunny. :/)

MAIN POINT: the whole thing was a sham!

i met up earlier with sam, where we were supposed to catch ernie`s band at the skate park but we were too late. haha. and so when i was with her when nez came down to meet up. and that samantha was all like, "oh, i feel like clubbing but not sure yet." but in the end she came along and when we reached i saw teck wee and i was so surprised!

turns out, that inez has been sneakily inviting people to go clubbing that night to celebrate my birthday! so, thanks for planning it nez. it was really a surprise even though i sensed something cos of your bad acting! and thanks to everyone who came, sportingly wore a tie as per nez`s instructions (and those who didn`t as well) and made the night so fun! (:

will update when i get the photos. i hope some people know how to vet through and delete the ugly pictures. haha!

ps. actually, i am not a big clubber who wants a clubbing outing for her birthday gift. that`d be michelle. hahaha!

and oh, joke of the day. at about 10, michy called me to hear my reaction and all that, and i think she asked hummy to call me too. and when hummy called she was all like, oh happy birthday ding! and she genuinely thought that it was my birthday that night. HAHAHA!

Bali trip; 10th to 14th of Aug.

i have been very hardworking! (:

i stayed over the night before the flight cos it was at an ungodly hour of 6.20AM. *faints.
so yes, lugged my luggage all the way to simei for a stayover before waking up at 4AM to cab down to the airport. i think we went to bed at around 11 maybe? but we kept talking and talking, so we had less than 4 hours sleep. "eh siantar," hahaha.

we reached bali where it was nice and sunny and kiki (nez`s sister) was not there to fetch us! :O instead she sent her friend to pick us up cos it was high season in bali and we had no rooms to stay in! so she was out searching for other hotels. so yaa, that night we shared a room. me, nez, kiki and harrison (kiki`s bf). weirddd. but thankfully, after hotel hunting we found a place we liked and could move over the next day. (:

and yaa, so i nearly killed a horse. cos i had no brains to realise that to stop the horse i should pull on both reins. and also cos i couldn`t understand what the man was trying to tell me. :/ so the poor horse slow-galloped into the back of a car. but no injuries cos he was smart enough to siam his head. phew!

we went clubbing, and actually planned to go every night, but sadly that was the first, last and only time! ): mainly cos our hotel was quite far away from kuta, so it was a little inconvenient to get there. and also, we were in bali from sunday to thursday so we totally missed the weekends which are the best times for clubbing! :/ but i prefer phuture cos the music is better, so its alright.

for lunch, we had Babi Guling, which is a famous dish in bali. inez has been telling me about this since last time, about how the skin is so yummy and all. but it just tasted oily and fatty to me leh. :/ maybe singapore and indo tastebuds different. i much prefered some other fried red meat or the fried intestines. heh.

we also went to Sukawati, this place where clothes are sold really cheap. but sadly, everything everywhere was the same and we didn`t really buy as much as we had expected. :/

that night after dinner, we decided to try mushrooms. :O i was quite scared but i wanted to experience what it was like! so we went to buy them for about $20 for 2 packets. they blended it with fanta and it was supposed to be enough but not too strong for 5 people.

back at the hotel we tried it and slowly got high. but it didn`t reach its peak. we all got high enough like as though we were drunk, but not to the point where we hallucinated or found everything immensely funny. not strong enough apparently. but that high would be good for clubbing. heh. but the side effects are that you cannot fall asleep. :/ when i closed my eyes i saw sukawati, as if it was that afternoon again. me and nez tossed and turned in bed and only fell asleep at around 4. :/

the next day, we wake up really early and travel really far, up a mountain for pisang bakar. which was good but not worth the long long ride there. :/

and for dinner we went to this japanese restaurant Ryoshi. and suprisingly, i like the raw white marlin! better than salmon which i eat but don`t really appreciate. but i was so disappointed by the green tea ice cream. one mouth and i didn`t continue. ):

and i think i should mention that most of the places we went to, it was for the food. haha!

watersports was really fun, except for that stupid big mable! its this game where you sit on this float thing and have to hold on to these handles while the speedboat drags the float all around and into waves and stuff.

so its really bouncy and quite scary cos if you let go you can fly off into the sea. and that silly ride is like, 15 mins at least and the whole time we`re hanging on for dear life. at the end of the game, i had a blister that had already burst on my little finger. not fun. and also, i got sun burnt. :/

we also went to turtle island where i realised that i do not like animals very much. :/

we had nasi pedas for dinner again, just that this time mine was non spicy. but maybe that was the problem. i had food poisoning that night. :/

my stomach was still unsettled and i wanted to stay in the hotel but nez managed to convince me to go to ku de ta since i would be lying down there as well. and i`m glad i went cos i love bodyboarding! its just crazy how we wait for a bigger wave to come so that it`ll be more fun, and crash into the sand and water cos it was too strong. hahaha.

amazing how my stomach was fine while i was having fun but after we stopped, my stomach was weird again cos of the cold. play only, stomach also not pain. heh. but yaa, after that it just got bad so the photos end abruptly. thanks to veena (sp?), nez`s friend for letting me sleep at her house! i slept for like 5 hours till we had to leave for the airport.

but once we landed in singapore, i felt much better. i think its psychological. :/

and oh, we totally missed our flight back to singapore.
we were supposed to leave 24 hours before and we nearly panicked when the man at the airport told us. thank god there were empty seats for the flight that night!
it sounds damn retarded but its cos when we planned our trip, our plans were to stay in bali till the 14th. so when we booked the flight that was the return date we put and we assumed it was correct. actually it was for 12AM 14th, which is 13th night. hahahahaha. damn funny.
but i wish we had more time in bali.

i want to bodyboard some more!
i want more teh botol!
i want to try magic mushroom for real!
i want to tan more!

clubbing; 6/8

this is two weeks late but i don`t care. and i know nez blogged this way long ago, but nevermind.



it was such a fun night! lets go clubbing again soon girlies! :D and i think i should ditch the whole pseudonym game. :/ whoooops. heh.

on monday, we met up for dinner and celebrated JASMINE MONSTY`s birthday! :D happy 20th! hope you like the present even though its a little stained. :/ nevermind, can wash. hahaha.

and also, need to blog about bali. i see that nez has started, and there are so many pictures! *faints.

but first, things i learnt in bali.

• bali is not just all beach, unlike my imaginations. heh.
• and its also not always sunny and perfect weather for beaching.
  
• should definitely stay in a hotel nearer to kuta.
  
• there are many mosquitoes in the hotel and i shouldn`t bother trying to kill them cos there are too many and my clapping skills suck.
• how to endure long long rides on a car.
• a real life cow actually looks very clean.
• s'pore happy soda is different from indo`s.
• shopping is not really good over there cos the clothes are mostly the same. and boutique shops are really expensive.
  
• bikinis are not sold all over the place, really cheap.
• i burn quite easily.
  
• how to tie a sarong! (:
• bodyboarding is very fun! i love! :D
• i need to check my wound and change my plaster often. and not bodyboard, crash and roll in seawater and sand without any thought for the open skin.
• that i actually like raw sushi! but only the white marlin. (:
  
• my stomach is not strong enough for some of the roadside food. ):
• how to not kill a horse. :/

goodbye

i guess this is part of growing up. people leave for places far beyond, for places with greener pastures. we each have our separate paths to walk and i need to find mine soon.

but these paths we walk on are long, sometimes not crossing for months or even years. and when the paths merge again, there`s no saying how we`ve changed or if a hedge has grown in between said paths.

this is growing up and i`d rather be in neverland.

i miss hummy. and i`m missing michelle already even though she hasn`t left, yet.
i`m also missing everyone else who isn`t leaving s'pore but has left to a different life from what i know. the life of studying in uni, the life of working.
we are different now, and i like that not one bit.

i think i`ve lost my footing.

we headed down to equinox, which we`d planned to go quite long ago and finally did. but it wasn`t really as awesome i expected. the view was still good though.

barbeque at james' place as a meetup before the guys enter ns. but in the end, everyone was late so we started without them and ate alot of the food. haha!

went to the camp bar at dempsey house with ian. and then on to zouk.

woke up the next day with a slight hangover (i think) and no appetite.

visited my grandpa and felt much better after that cos i had to walk about 10 mins to the nursing home and it didn`t have aircon so i think i basically sweated the remaining alcohol out. it was good.

went to meet the rest at amk before heading down to gynn`s birthday bbq.
will update again after i get all the pics.

in between and during these days, there were times that i was quite down/reclusive/affected/irritated. thank you(s) for being there and listening when i needed to rant, for just being there when i had nothing to say, for protecting me, for making me laugh, for caring, for making me, me.

it still hasn`t really sunk in that hummy and mich are leaving.
and won`t be back for 6 months.
but i think when the time comes when they`re not here i will finally realise how much i need them and miss them. ):
